BeOffline (“we”, “our”, or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the BeOffline mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
Personal Information
When you create an account or use BeOffline, we may collect:
- Name (provided by you or through Sign in with Apple)
- Email address (used for account authentication)
- Username (a unique handle you are assigned or choose within the app)
We do not collect precise location data.
Account & App Data
To provide core features — including detox sessions, app blocking, friends, and shared detox invites — we store account-related data in Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore). This may include:
- Profile information (such as display name, email, and username)
- Friend connections (friend display names and friendship dates)
- Pending friend requests (sender and recipient IDs and display names)
- Detox session data (such as session end time, host name, and participant display names and status)
- Detox invites you send or receive (including sender/recipient names, session details, and duration)
- Feedback you submit when cancelling or leaving feedback (including your reason, message, and user ID)
This data is associated with your account and synced so your progress and social features can work across sessions and devices.
